When we launched Walawalkar Enterprise (WE LLP) in October 2024, it wasn't about leaving behind my 25-year professional journey in energy sector — it was about building on it. My experience with Tata Infotech, Customized Energy Solutions, and the India Energy Storage Alliance (IESA) helped me firsthand contribute to how technology innovation, policy, and people can together shape meaningful change.
This first year has been one of rediscovery — of listening deeply, learning constantly, and reconnecting with people who share a vision for a sustainable world. Through WE LLP, I've had the privilege of engaging with diverse teams exploring renewable integration, energy storage, emobility, cyber security and emerging technologies including AI for climate solutions.
Moments that Inspired
At the Bharat Mobility Global Expo, I witnessed the energy and imagination driving India's e-mobility revolution — government agencies, entrepreneurs, industry leaders and innovators pushing the frontiers of batteries, EVs, and circular economy solutions.

Participating in global dialogues with the International Solar Alliance provided another dimension — seeing India's growing leadership in renewable energy and storage.
A deeply personal highlight was my learning journey across the United States, where I visited universities, clean energy startups, and gigafactories — including Tesla and Envision Energy. What struck me most wasn't their scale, but the clarity of their purpose.

The Power of Collective Action
The formation of the Netzero Energy Transition Association (NETRA) on EARTHDAY.ORG 2025 was among the year's most meaningful milestones. NETRA emerged from a simple but powerful belief — that the climate challenge cannot be solved by any single organization or individual.
NETRA is now bringing together innovators, investors, policymakers, and changemakers across continents — proving that real progress is driven not by competition, but by collaboration.

Learning, Growing, and Giving Back
This year also became a journey of personal growth. Completing the Advanced Leadership Program at Wharton Executive Education offered time to pause and reflect. Joining Caret Capital as a Venture Partner has opened new ways to connecting with investors and to mentor founders.

Beyond business, my involvement with WHEELS Global Foundation, Garje Marathi Global, Rang De and SVP India has kept me grounded — whether it's helping deploy clean microgrids in villages or mentoring social entrepreneurs.

Before looking ahead, I want to take a moment to express my gratitude for everyone who has been part of this incredible first year.
Looking Ahead
Change is never easy. Leaving behind an organization you helped build over decades can be both daunting and emotional. This year has taught me to cherish those who stand by you not because of your title, but because of your friendship and shared purpose.
I also know how lucky I am to have Netra Walawalkar as my perfect partner — not the woman behind my success, but a full and equal partner in every step of this journey.
To my family and close friends — thank you for being my anchors, encouragers, and quiet champions.
To anyone who is standing at the edge of change — contemplating your own entrepreneurial leap — I understand how scary it can be. But it's also liberating.
The coming decade will define our century — a time to come together, collaborate, and create solutions that shape a sustainable future. If this mission resonates with you, I warmly invite you to connect through NETRA or WE LLP.
As WE LLP and NETRA move forward, my hope is to continue nurturing a community of dreamers and builders who believe in collective progress. Because the road to a net-zero future is not one that any of us can walk alone — but together, WE can.
